100 and Counting

Posted on July 16, 2015

Today is our 100th blog post for 2015! We thought we’d celebrate by showing what a family of four could do for $100. Check out all these fun activities: $10  The whole family can visit Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. Tour the museum, watch a short film, and visit the historical farm. The ticket is even good for a full week! $28 Two adults and two children can watch two great movies under the stars at the Holiday Drive-In. $9  Visitors from out of state can enjoy all Lincoln State Park has to offer: Bicentennial Plaza, Lake Lincoln, the Nature Center, and several hiking trails. $10 Parents can capture great photos as their two children ride ponies at Santa’s Stables. $9 Get a family photo with Santa at the Santa Claus Christmas Store. $16 Two adults and two children can visit Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum. Tour 14 Lincoln-era replica cabins, and a museum filled with artifacts depicting what life was like for the Lincoln family. $13 It’s not a vacation without ice cream! Stop at Frosty’s Fun Center to enjoy four small ice cream sundaes. You can even play a round of putt putt for free! $5  Share a bit of nostalgia with a bag of taffy from Santa’s Candy Castle. Here we are, a day’s worth of fun for the whole family for $100! That doesn’t even include all the free things to do in the area! Here's just a few: Write a letter to Santa at the Santa Claus Museum & Village, visit the only Post Office with Santa's name, go on a self-guided tour of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, and enjoy free tastings at local wineries, Pepper's Ridge and Monkey Hollow. Please note: Prices are based on two adults and two children. Prices may vary.
