Egg-citing Spring Activities

Posted on April 15, 2014

Spring is a wonderful time to get outdoors and enjoy nature with your family, especially in Santa Claus, Indiana, and sites throughout Lincoln's Indiana Boyhood Home.

Enjoy these egg-citing spring activities:

With the flowers blooming and trees full of fresh green leaves, it's a great time to visit Saint Meinrad Archabbey. You can take a self-guided tour, or find a park bench to sit and enjoy the scenery. Stop by the gift shop before you leave to see what beautiful items they have.   A day trip to Lincoln State Park walking the trails and paddle boating in Lake Lincoln is a great family adventure. Walk around the Lincoln Bicentennial Plaza which celebrates Lincoln's 200th birthday and take a peek into the Nature Center featuring interactive exhibits for the entire family. lincoln state park If you're up for a picnic, pack your basket and head to Lincoln Ferry Park. The park commemorates where Abraham Lincoln operated his ferryboat business on the Ohio River from Kentucky to Indiana. Don't forget the deviled EGGS!
