Best Tourism Website Awarded to Spencer County Visitors Bureau
Posted on March 20, 2017
Spencer County’s new tourism websites can now be called award-winning. On March 14, the Spencer County Visitors Bureau accepted the inaugural Indiana Tourism Award for Best Tourism Website.
The Indiana Tourism Awards, presented by Midwest Living magazine, honor tourism businesses that are creative, innovative, and maximize the dollars invested. In the category for Best Tourism Website with marketing budgets under $300,000, the themed websites to promote attractions throughout
Santa Claus, Indiana, and
Lincoln’s Indiana Boyhood Home, were recognized as top destination websites in Indiana.
“It’s an honor to receive statewide recognition for the Visitors Bureau’s websites, and it is rewarding that the judges noted the two brands were represented well online,” says Spencer County Visitors Bureau Executive Director Melissa Brockman. “Our websites are often the first impression a potential visitor has of the destination and we strive to make it one that encourages users to stick around and find out more about the extraordinary tourism opportunities here.”
Spencer County is home to nationally known attractions such as Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari, Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, and Lincoln’s Indiana Boyhood Home with national and state parks.
