Getting Creative at Corner House

Posted on February 27, 2017

It was an unusually warm day for February. But it was a perfect day to spend the morning in the country at the lovely Corner House Bed & Breakfast and let the creative juices flow. At least once a year our board of directors gets together with the staff for a morning-long planning session. We pick a spot outside of the usual conference room so we get to enjoy a piece of the county at the same time. Jenny, the owner of Corner House Bed & Breakfast, hosted our meeting this year. It was super comfy and cozy in the chic farmhouse’s foyer. We went through presentations, brainstormed ideas, and talked in-depth about the many exciting things the coming years could bring. And let’s not forget that Jenny served up a delicious ham and cheese croissant along with fresh fruit to keep us energized. Most board members had visited the property when Corner House Bed & Breakfast first opened in 2015. However, several had not seen the newest addition: a breathtaking event barn for wedding receptions and celebrations.

Behind the Scenes

We were treated to the VIP tour and were not disappointed. Not only does Corner House offer lodging with homemade breakfast but this venue offers much more. There is a picturesque ceremony site and a double barn for special events, complete with professional floral arrangement services, including fresh cut flowers. It’s an incredible space. One of the best elements of our job at the Visitors Bureau is to visit and tour our local tourism spots. We do this so we can help spread the word to visitors. And it’s simply remarkable to see the vision of communities and entrepreneurs come to fruition and add to the extraordinary array of options this destination offers travelers and locals alike.
