Hometown Friendliness with a Holiday Spirit
Posted on June 3, 2015
During an early morning visit, a traveler en route to Oklahoma popped in the Visitors Bureau for brochures and ideas on what to do in the area.
She said it was her first time in Indiana and gushed about the local grocery store, Holiday Foods.
“Your grocery store is the best grocery store that I’ve ever been to. I told the employees that they should be selling postcards with photos of the store because it’s that good,” she mentioned. “The employees there were just the nicest.”
Holiday Foods certainly showcases the small-town pride this charming town is known for; they even carry your groceries all the way to your car!
- Pick up a meal fresh from the deli for a picnic at Lincoln State Park or Yellig Park. In addition to sandwiches made on the spot, options include a daily special like tasty chicken fingers, salads, and more!
- Need sunglasses or flip flops? Stock up on summer essentials you may have forgotten to pack.
- Browse the selection of postcards to send to your loved ones. You can purchase stamps, too. Grab a treat like an ice cream sandwich, too!
- Holiday Foods even carries Prairie Farm’s ice cream flavor, Thunderbird, in honor of Holiday World’s new launched wing roller coaster.
- Use the convenient Ice House to fill your cooler when you get into town. It’s available 24 hours a day!
