Who We Are
The Spencer County Visitors Bureau offers brochures, festival and event information, and area maps. In addition, the visitors bureau can also help with regional information and can provide a wealth of resources for the local destination. For groups, small meetings, family reunions, and more, the visitors bureau offers customized itinerary planning, possible FAM tours, event coordination, step-on guides, and more.
Tourism Partners
Spencer County Visitors Bureau works with businesses throughout the county to promote all of the attractions, accommodations, and dining options. Using strategic marketing, we promote Spencer County as an overnight destination. Working together and leveraging resources allows all tourism partners to reach a larger potential audience. The four tourism partner logos featured in this area rotate.
Tourism Resources
The Spencer County Tourism Commission was established in 1994 to help make Spencer County a leading year-round overnight destination for families, and oversee the expenditures of proceeds collected by the county’s innkeeper’s tax.
Tourism’s economic impact in Spencer County includes providing one in three jobs and generating more than $160 million in spending by visitors within the county. Spencer County attracted more than 1 million unique visitors during the summer season, and generated more than $50 in direct sales to tourism related businesses.
