3rd Weekend of the Christmas Celebration

Posted on December 10, 2019

Are you ready for some more holiday cheer?
It’s not too late! This time of the year is all about spending time with loved ones and making memories. That’s exactly why you should join in on the fun during the last weekend of the Santa Claus Christmas Celebration. Spend the weekend in a cozy cabin or hotel surrounded by your friends and family, celebrating the wonderful holiday season. But, don’t wait to book your stay! This is your last chance to enjoy all of the special events and activities during the Christmas Celebration. Follow this guide for holiday fun during the 3rd weekend of the Christmas Celebration!

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20:

Everyone might be ready to eat when you get into town. At Christmas Dinner with Santa, enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner buffet, milk, cookies, and story time with Santa. Then head to Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort for the Santa Claus Land of Lights. Your little ones will love seeing Santa's reindeer in brilliant LED lights. Every car gets a free photo with Rudolph at the Santa Claus Christmas Store, too!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21:

Start your day with a big breakfast. Check out this blog post for detailed info on local dining options during the Christmas Celebration. By now your kiddos are probably dying to see Santa! Visit him at the Santa Claus Christmas Store. Browse nearly 8,000 stunning and unique ornaments, or pick one out to get personalized for free while you’re there. Spend some time visiting the Santa Claus Museum & Village. At 10:30 am CT, storyteller Susan Fowler presents The Story of Santa Claus, an interactive performance for the whole family. Sing along to Christmas Carols with Bomar and Ritter from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm CT. And don't forget to visit the Historic Santa Statue, towering an impressive 22 feet tall and “dedicated to the children of the world.” It’s a great spot to take those family vacation photos, too! Take a trip to Santa’s Workshop at Flint Hill Landscape Supply to enjoy crafts, cookies, and cocoa. Catch one of the three showings of The Lincoln Boyhood Drama Association’s presentation of Scrooge’s Christmas at the Heritage Hills High School Auditorium. An adapted tale from Charles Dicken’s classic, A Christmas Carol, the performance is one hour and will entertain the whole family. Join in the Candlelight Walk at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, and experience what it was like during the dark nights of typical frontier hearth living. Candle lanterns will light the way as you walk the path to the 1820s frontier cabin at the Living Historical Farm. Add a little Christmas magic to your trip with nine miles of light displays through the gated community of Christmas Lake Village.  Choose from over 30 flavors of gourmet hot chocolate at Santa’s Candy Castle. Then, head outside to experience chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Roasting chestnuts is one of the oldest Christmas traditions, but have you ever actually tried it? Well, this weekend is your chance!

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 22:

If you still have a few gifts to get, visit Santa’s TOYS and Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop in Kringle Place Shopping Center. Let your little ones test some toys inside Santa’s TOYS, and they’ll love shopping with the kid’s sized carts. Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop has some in-store events, like face painting, too! You can never take enough family photos. There are several Santa Statues to pose with around Kringle Place Shopping Center. We love seeing them when you use #SantaSelfie! After this weekend, the 2019 Santa Claus Christmas Celebration will have come and gone. Make it a holiday to remember! Check out local Christmas packages here. “Although it’s been said many times, many ways…A very Merry Christmas to you!”
