Posted on November 26, 2019

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

We can’t wait for the kick off of the Santa Claus Christmas Celebration this weekend! There are so many special events and in order to make the most of your experience, we've compiled an itinerary. Follow this guide for guaranteed fun, laughter, and to experience the magic of Christmas.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6:

Plan to arrive with some time to get settled into your home for the weekend. Whether you’re in a hotel room or a cabin, your family will appreciate some time to relax after the drive into town. Christmas Dinner with Santa is the main event tonight. Enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner buffet style and visits with Santa at Santa’s Lodge. Get a good night’s rest, tomorrow is a big day!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7: SCMV Post Office Family

If you’re feeling like some family-friendly competition, the Nightmare Before Christmas Golf Scramble, is for you. The format is a two-person scramble starting at 9:30 am CT. Or, start the morning at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. Children can write letters to Santa inside the original Santa Claus Post Office. Stick around until 1:00 pm CT for The Story of Santa Claus in the historic Santa Claus Church. Next, head over to Evergreen Boutique & Christmas Shop. In addition to holiday items, women’s clothing, and unique gifts, there will be face painting and mulled cider to sip while you shop. Make your way to the southern region of the county to visit the Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum where you’ll experience a Treemendous Christmas in the Village. While you’re in the area, enjoy the City of Rockport Christmas Festivities. You don’t want to miss the Rockport Christmas parade at 2:00 pm CT. After the Rockport Christmas Parade, The Lighting of the Christmas Star is on the Courthouse lawn. And then head to the Spencer County Courthouse for a wonderful Christmas Program. Make your way back to Santa Claus, Indiana, to take part in one of the oldest Christmas traditions – Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire at Santa’s Candy Castle. Indulge in a gourmet hot chocolate to stay warm and cozy while watching the chestnuts roast. Finish the day with a drive through the Santa Claus Land of Lights at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort. Every vehicle gets one free photo with Rudolph at the Santa Claus Christmas Store, tooSanta Claus Land of Lights

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8:
