Five Ways to Keep Learning

Posted on May 12, 2014

School is out and summer fun is well underway... but that doesn't mean you can't keep learning!

Keep Learning: See a list of five ideas to combine education with your summer fun.

1. Discover animals like Abe Lincoln would have encountered nearly 200 years ago at the Lincoln State Park Nature Center. 2. Learn about the magical history of Santa Claus, Indiana, including how the town got its name at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. 3. See how pioneers lived in the 1800s at the Living Historical Farm inside Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. Extra credit: Pitch in to help perform the chores Mr. Lincoln did as a boy. 4. Tour the breathtaking grounds at Saint Meinrd Archabbey and explore one of only two archabbeys in the country. 5. Travel the Ohio River Scenic Byway and learn about the useful river by reading panels along the way. Little ones can learn, too. Practice counting by searching for as many Santa statues as you can find in Santa Claus, Indiana. What would you add to the list? Comment below!
