Locals Share Insider Tips

With Holiday World opening one month from today, we asked local businesses to share tips for visiting early and making the most out of summer vacation.

“The diving show “Dive!” at Holiday World is incredible and is well worth taking a short break from the rides. The best time to visit the park is during May and early June. The weather is generally great and the lines are much shorter than later in the season.” – Kevin, Santa’s Candy Castle

Debbie, Santa’s Lodge: “Santa’s Lodge is booking up fast. 41 of the rooms are being remodeled and are ready for reservations, so don’t wait!”

“There are so many fantastic places to eat: McKenzie’s, The Rustic, and White Squirrel Donuts to name a few. Plus, they are all conveniently located minutes from Rockport Comfort Inn & Suites.” – Sharon, Rockport Comfort Inn & Suites

Laura, Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort“We encourage families to reserve their lodging early. At Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort we take reservations about a year and a half in advance. It is your best chance to get the type of lodging that suits your family’s needs. The summer months are busy! Consider staying during our less busy times, May or early June.”
