November Things to Do

Posted on October 30, 2019

November is when autumn meets the holiday season, meaning tons of fun things are going on. Kick off the festive season early with special events and check some gifts off your Christmas list!

Here’s a quick checklist of things you’ll want to be sure to do this month.

Experience a Candlelight Walk to discover what evenings were like for a typical frontier family. Lanterns will light the way as you walk the path to the 1820s frontier cabin and the Living Historical Farm on November 16, 2019.

Ever wonder what it would be like to chat with an elf? Find out at Santa’s Candy Castle. Log onto the “North Pole Network” to chat with one of Santa’s helpful elves and earn an official Good List Certificate!

A Fontanini product always makes a great Christmas present, but, a personalized signature from Mr. Fontanini makes the perfect gift! The Mr. Fontanini Meet & Greet will take place on November 20, 2019, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm CT at the Santa Claus Christmas Store.

Don’t miss Jingle Bell Run on November 24, 2019, beginning at Santa’s Lodge. The Arthritis Foundation is hosting this festive race for charity, and 100% of the registration fee and fundraising go to a great cause. Learn more here.

You don’t have to wait until Christmas to experience brilliant LED lights. The Santa Claus Land of Lights at Lake Rudolph Campground and RV Resort begins Thanksgiving night, November 28, 2019! Drive through this 1.2-mile light adventure that tells the shining story of Rudolph.

Have you ever seen a reindeer? While you’re browsing over 2,800 specialty toys at Santa’s TOYS, bring your family to see the Live Reindeer on November 30 and December 1, 2019, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm CT.

Sit comfy and cozy around the fire to enjoy the centuries-old Christmas tradition of roasting chestnuts on an open fire. This free, family-friendly event is interactive, too! Try roasting the chestnuts yourself and taste one while they're still warm and yummy. It's a great photo opportunity, too (use #SantaClausIndiana in your post to show us your photos!).

Coming up in December...

Mark your calendars! The Santa Claus Christmas Celebration kicks off on December 6, 2019. There will be Christmas magic, music, festive events, and much more for this town-wide celebration spanning the first three weekends of December.

Make it a weekend!
