Spring Heritage Days and Rendezvous

“Families can participate in activities and grasp a part of history from reenactors‘ stories,” volunteer Diane Unfried says of the upcoming Spring Heritage Days and Rendezvous.
The two-day event celebrating the life and times of Abraham Lincoln takes place on May 16 and 17, 2015, at Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum.
Open-fire cooking, muzzle loader displays, rug and place mat weaving, yarn spinning from sheep wool, candle making for kids, sheep shearing, chair caning, quilting, and black smith demonstrations provide plenty of hands-on experiences.
“Everything in the village can be linked to Young Abe Lincoln, his years in Spencer County, and his climb to presidency,” Diane notes.
