Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial will host hands-on planting workshops at the Living Historical Farm on Saturday, March 19, and Saturday, April 2.
Volunteers will work with Master Gardener Jane Jenkins to plant historic varieties of crops in the gardens and crop fields. You’ll utilize techniques that Thomas Lincoln would have likely used on his Indiana farm in the 1820’s.
Other workshops will be held to coincide with seasonal patterns and will cover topics including ground preparation, seed starting, and cold frame crops.
Each workshop will begin at the shelter at the North parking lot followed by hands-on work at the Living Historical Farm. Contact Erin at (812) 937-4541 with any questions.
